Continuous Improvement Plan Review Structure

Continuous Improvement Plans will be submitted annually to the College Level Committee and every five years to the University Level Committee.

College Level Committee

(1) The College Level Continuous Improvement committee shall be composed of faculty members appointed by the Dean, with representation from each department in the college.

 (2) The responsibility of the College Level Continuous Improvement Committee shall include the review of the five-year continuous improvement and strategic plans and annual reporting materials submitted by academic programs in the college.  Lastly, it will provide feedback and recommendations for programs. For programs undergoing the five- year review, feedback should be utilized in revision of documents prior to final submission of report to the Continuous Improvement Plan Liaison. 

University Level Committee

(1) The committee shall be composed of twelve faculty members appointed by the Academic Senate, with representation from each undergraduate college, four faculty members appointed by the Graduate Council, one academic advisor, one undergraduate student and one graduate student. There shall also be ex officio members, including the Continuous Improvement Liaison, a representative from the Office of Assessment, and a representative from the Provost’s office.

(2) The responsibility of the University Level Continuous Improvement Plan Review Committee shall include the review of the five-year continuous improvement and strategic plans submitted by the department and the college.  Lastly, it will provide feedback in the form of commendations, suggestions, and recommendations, where a recommendation implies an action plan.
